The monarch butterfly is found all over the world. It is considered a NZ native as it arrived here without the aid of humans. It is NZ’s largest butterfly and is well known as it lives in urban and semi-urban environments on milkweeds, especially the swan plant.
My artwork is created in response to the NZ wildlife, birds, and critters surrounding my life and studio on Hinewai Reserve. I am inspired by nature’s resilience and the critters who live and breed here. I create to protect our critters one artwork at a time.
