This is the world’s smallest penguin. Its colour varies from region to region, with these white-flippered little blue penguins of Banks Peninsula being the most distinctive. They are very noisy onshore at night, especially when nesting under houses! Photo reference thanks to Pohatu Penguins.
My artwork is created in response to the NZ wildlife, birds, and critters surrounding my life and studio on Hinewai Reserve. I am inspired by nature’s resilience and the critters who live and breed here. I create to protect our critters one artwork at a time.
